NATIONAL SPACE TROPHY NOMINATIONS INFORMATION
On April 25, 2008, the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RANSA) Foundation will award the 22nd annual National Space Trophy to an outstanding American who has made major contributions to our nation’s space program. This award will be presented at the annual RNASA Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Houston in Houston, Texas.
The RNASA Foundation solicits nominations from civilian and military aerospace professionals and members of the public with knowledge of and interest in the American space program. The nominee must meet three criteria:
1) be a citizen of the United States of America,All nominations are reviewed and the winner selected by a vote of the Board of Advisors of the RNASA Foundation. The Board of Advisors consists of over sixty prominent members of the aerospace industry and U.S. government agencies.
Previous winners of the National Space Trophy include many outstanding Americans. See the list and brief profiles on the Previous Winners page. The 2007 trophy winner was former flight director Gene Kranz, for his outstanding achievement in his pivotal role in the development of flight control operation for all NASA manned space flight.
Nominations for the 2008 winner were due by Friday, November 16, 2007, per the Nominations Form*.
